It's the umpteenth time during the current campaign cycle that TCM has shown Andy Griffith's famous portrayal of folksy demagogue "Lonesome Rhodes."
I have a theory that they choose films which reflect TCM's political concerns and keep showing them up until the election. (Wish I had the power to do that!)
