YouTube glitch allows trolls to lower people's subscriber counts

Postby Marie » Thu Feb 09, 2017 2:56 am

At first, predictably, YT management refused to believe this was happening and did nothing to stop it.

Until peoples' livelihoods were shown to have been affected (and the probability of lawsuits, you can bet, loomed before their eyes!)

THE GLITCH is very simple and allows anyone to lower the subscriber count of any channel.

When you unsubscribe from a channel, it counts as -2 from the subscriber tally. So if you unsubscribe and resubscribe repeatedly, you can slowly bring down a YouTuber’s sub count. And now that many people know the glitch, trolls are quickly removing popular channels’ subscribers.

You find out what someone is really like in "battle," and Olbermann is who you want to be in a foxhole with, Patrick said. "On the air, we had each others' backs," said Olbermann.
