Zsa Zsa Gabor, 99

Postby dejapig » Sun Dec 18, 2016 6:36 pm

Zsa Zsa Gabor has died. She was 99. A former Miss Hungary and film actress, Gabor became best-known as a socialite who married nine times.

Gabor endured several health issues over the past few years. She reportedly suffered a heart attack, and died at the hospital. In February, Gossip Cop reported Gabor was hospitalized with a lung infection, as a result of a breathing tube she had installed several years ago.

For the past half-decade, Gabor has not been seen in public. As Gossip Cop noted at the time, Gabor was in and out of the hospital for her failing health in 2011. She had a blood clot, and after that she had her right leg amputated. Doctors removed the leg when they discovered a cancerous lesion, which they felt would prove fatal if left untreated. When antibiotics didn’t work, her leg was amputated. This all happened after Gabor had already fallen out of her bed in 2010 and broke her hip, which required replacement surgery.

Gabor’s health started to decline after she was partially paralyzed in a 2002 car crash. She also reportedly suffered a stroke in 2005. Gabor is survived by husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt. Gabor also had a daughter, Francesca, with onetime husband Conrad Hilton.

She was in bad shape in later years -- but here's who the world saw in the 1952 film biography of Toulouse-Lautrec (never to be confused with that other "Moulin Rouge") --

You find out what someone is really like in "battle," and Olbermann is who you want to be in a foxhole with, Patrick said. "On the air, we had each others' backs," said Olbermann.
