How can these people have fun when so many are suffering or dead.

You are so right Michael. Why not bring food and supplies in instead of sunbathers.

From what I read these ships were also delivery supplies that were being taken to the victims.

although even before this disaster I don't think that Haiti would be a destination stop on a cruise I would want to go to anyway.. just saying....

I agree! It is not fun to be on a luxury liner and get off on a poverty stricken country.

TJ and an improv group performed for the Disney Cruise Line. We went to Nassau several times...the poverty on the way to the Atlantis was not a pretty sight.

Was in Jamaica many years ago and vowed never to go back. Scary.
