6-16-08 Kind words for KO from SI

Postby Marie » Mon Jun 16, 2008 8:47 pm

States Sports Illustrated's Richard Deitsch:

"MSNBC's Keith Olbermann's performance following Russert's death might have been his finest moment in broadcasting. Honest, at times heartwrenching, Olbermann weaved his way through guest after guest who spoke about Russert's career and life. Often, he lost his composure, but never his professionalism."

No one could have said it better.

SI got it right on the money. Keith did a flawless job, considering how little time he had to prepare. Then again, I don't think any amount of time in the world could have properly prepared anybody in that position. I actually sent NBC and E-mail complimenting Keith and every reporter on their coverage of Tim. As always, Keith was wonderful.

Rest in peace, Mr. Russert.
